Completely Random

This will likely be the most random post you have ever read on this blog.

But, I am tired. So, this is the best I can put together right now.

Tyler was so excited to wear his new "zoom" shirt to school today. He has learned that airplanes "zoom," so, in honor of his newfound "zoominess," I ordered him this custom made shirt from Petey Pie's Children's Clothing. Carly, thank you for your amazing handiwork! Ty pointed to his chest and proudly "zoomed" all day long!

After his busy day at school, a snack, and a nap, Tyler wanted to read a good book before dinner. Thankfully, his favorite book wasn't too far away. Doesn't he have the life??

A messy meal of Mickey Mouse organic ravioli and tomato sauce led to an early bout of bath time fun. He's just so darn cute; I could eat him up.

And, finally, I had a few pictures on my camera from last week that I forgot to post.
First, Tyler began pulling all of the toys out of one of his toy boxes and then pointing and pointing to the bottom of the box. Since I had no idea what he wanted, I just put him in there. He enjoyed being boxed-in until he determined that we might not ever take him out and he couldn't figure out how to escape on his own. He needn't fear. We scooped him to safety as soon as he asked to be rescued.

Secondly, we are working on the whole plate and spoon thing. Mostly, the food ends up everywhere except on the plate, and the spoon winds up pretending it's a hair brush. Fun times.

It's a good thing my son enjoys cleaning up after dinner. I seem to need all the help I can get these days.

Now, for Lydia news...

Today I am 32 weeks pregnant and I feel every bit of it. I'm still not hugely uncomfortable, but I am not sleeping well at night. I am having what I would call "night startles." I am not having bad dreams, per se, but I am waking abruptly with horrible images in my mind (mostly of scary things happening to Tyler). It's insane. But, Joy, who is one day ahead of me in our pregnancy journey, is having the same trouble, so I don't feel like a total lunatic. She and I might need to share a room at the asylum before this year is over with.

Beside not sleeping well, I feel good. My ankles are starting to swell some in the afternoons, but nothing major. I have also found that, as of late, I want nothing to eat/drink except ice cream and milkshakes. Sometimes, cereal will do. I bought a gallon of milk last night and was surprised today to see that I had already consumed half of it. I'm on some sort of calcium quest. It's odd. Admittedly.

While I am scared out of my head about having another infant enter our lives in seven weeks, I am thankful that that is all that's left. May 20th will be here before we know it and our little family will be forever changed. Lydie seems to be doing well. At my check-up today, her heart was beating 153 beats per minute. I still don't feel her moving around as much as I felt Tyler, but this afternoon Danny and I got quite a kick out of my belly dancing on its own as she played and twisted and turned. I'm forever amazed that my body can carry and develop a new life. I can't wait to meet her!

See, I told you this post was completely random.

Jennifer,

I am so happy for you and your family. I haven't left a comment in quite some time and just wanted you to know I am still amazed at how time has flown by. Tyler looks like such a big boy now and you will be welcoming Lydia sooner than I thought. My continued prayers and thoughts are with you. Take care of yourself.

Love,
Lisa Holmes

I'm thinking we should go ahead and prepay for our room at the asylum--at least it's in Milledgeville and we could possibly sneak out for meals at The Brick.

Tyler looks like such a big boy in his precious zoom shirt and khaki pants! He is growing up all too quickly!

The post was random, but that is to be expected from a VERY pregnant lady like yourself. I am just proud of you for posting.

Love all the pictures, and I can't wait to see how much Tyler is going to love on his baby sister!
