note: this post was written Friday night, but the blogger system was malfunctioning and I couldn't get it posted until this morning.
Tyler is learning to clap a little more every day. Clapping plays a big role in his weekly Little Gym classes, so we've been working on the skill for several weeks. He has mastered "clapping" together every toy in the house, and he stares at our hands when we are showing him how to clap. He hasn't quite opened his fists all the way, but he understands how to bring his little fists together like he's clapping. It's progress, and it sure is a lot of fun to watch.
This video was taken after he had eaten oatmeal and sweet potatoes. His tummy was full and he was sleepy, sleepy. You'll see him pulling on his ears; that's his sign for "put me to bed right away." I grabbed the camera a little too late and the breakdown begins as this clip ends!
Have no fear. Our little clapper made it to his crib without delay.

I love that he pulls on his ear when he's sleepy. That is what LL did too.
