Our church choir just released an amazing c.d. It's so amazing that we've been playing it 90% of the time that we're in the car. When it's only Ty and me, I sing really loudly and pretend I have a voice worth being loud with. In truth, I am just making a joyful noise, noise being the operative word, but joyful nonetheless.
Today, as Tyler and I were making our way back home after a few errands, my very favorite song on the c.d. was playing. Poor Ty really has his ears full when that one is on. Anyway, as the song ended, I said, "Amen, Ty, Amen!" I guess I think he's ready to praise God with me and so I'm just hoping his first word will be "Amen." Wouldn't that be something?
Now, here's the truth, and I couldn't make it up if I'd tried:
The child laughed!
He laughed when I said "Amen." I choose to believe it's his 7 1/2 month old way of making a joyful noise to the Lord and not a response to my singing.
It warmed my heart, for sure, and I know that it must have brought a sweet smile to the face of Jesus.
Let me hear you say, AMEN!!
"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs."
Psalm 100: 1-2

I think you are right, laughter from a 7 1/2 month old is an Amen all in itself.
I'll be checking back for the pic!
This is such a sweet post. I miss little Ty and hope to see him the next time yall are in GA. These sweet babies are such blessings!
