Since I cooked the chili for lunch that I intended to cook for supper, I was not prepared for the 5:30 p.m. meal time. But, I knew for a fact there wasn't a thing in this house I wanted to cook, or eat for that matter.
So, I asked Danny if we could get ourselves together and go to Red Lobster. After all, it's less than a mile from our house, so if we got stuck in the snow or ice, we could make it home on foot without a huge headache.
Not to mention, since I hadn't left the house in six days, going a mile down the street sounded like a big adventure. And, it was.
Tyler loved the lobsters, as usual, and Lydie enjoyed her bottle and a nap. Danny and I feasted on everything we could possibly put in our mouths just because it was different from all the Campbell's soup we've been consuming this past week.
After dinner, I wasn't anxious to return home, so I had Danny just drive around for a little bit so that we could see the condition of things. Other than four lane roads being down to only two lanes because of the six feet of snow piled up alongside the curbs, things look pretty good. I think the city is going to try to get back to business tomorrow, but we'll be looking at this snow for quite a while. It will take weeks to melt. Maybe a month or more. I just wish you could understand how much snow is out there. Unbelievable.
Thankfully, My Gym is reopening tomorrow, so Tyler will be able to go to his class in the morning. I can hardly wait. Any semblance of normalcy and routine is more than welcome to return now!

I haven't been to Red Lobster in YEARS, and now I want to go right this second. Hope you ate lots of those tasty rolls!
Glad My Gym is open today. Hopefully your life can return to normal soon.
