Nothing much...

going on at the Watson house today. We all slept in, big time, this morning. I couldn't get over how tired I was, and I think the rest of the family took advantage of the fact that Mom was sleepy and not giving everybody chores (okay, so that only includes Danny, but the animals were quite happy with the laziness!).

Once we were up and at 'em, Danny and I finished the Christmas tree. We are glad it is finally done and we can enjoy its soft glow for the next few weeks. It looks really nice.

After some other miscellaneous household duties, I cooked a fabulous meal, if I do say so myself. I have been wanting homemade mashed potatoes for weeks now, so I cooked cubed steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. YUMMY! It was a real southern dinner that just hit the spot.

Once dinner was over and the dishes were cleaned up, I started taking tags off of more of Tyler's clothes. I hope the kid doesn't grow too fast because he has a lot of clothes to wear between 8 and 12.5 pounds. We washed several loads (all were small because they were sorted by colors) and filled up an extra-large laundry basket with his clean wardrobe. I love the smell of Dreft, the baby detergent. It makes everything smell so pure and clean!

While the laundry was happening, I was watching a t.v. movie and Sunday Night Football. And, I had a little bit of light ice cream to top off my sweet tooth.

So, as I said, nothing much has happened here today. I haven't even left the house...sad, huh? The weather is going to be crazy here this week, so we are preparing for that. This entire weekend, our AC was on and the temperature was hovering near 80 degrees. Tomorrow the high is in the mid-forties. Tuesday and Wednesday, we'll be back up to high-seventies, and then Thursday and Friday it's supposed to be in the sixties. It's a wonder everyone in Texas isn't stricken with pneumonia considering the way the weather bounces around. It drives me crazy!

I go to the doctor tomorrow to see how Tyler is doing. We are at 37 weeks, so the little guy could come anytime now. I would really love for him to come around the 39th week, the week of Christmas. But, as I've said before, I am not one to have the best luck, so I'm sure he'll be about two weeks late! Nonetheless, I'm excited to see what the doctor says tomorrow. I'll keep you posted!

I do have one prayer request tonight. My friend Heather has a sister named Kelly who is an intern at the Colorado Springs church that was attacked by a gunman today. Kelly is fine, but the entire church is, understandably, shaken up. Please keep Kelly, her family, and the congregation of the church in your prayers. It's a terrible thing when you can't even feel safe at church. I can't understand what our country and our world are coming to.

Until tomorrow...good night!

Thanks Jenn for the prayer request. I talked with Kelly a few times today and things are hectic, but she is feeling somewhat ok. They have meetings happening the next few days about it all. SO I will keep you posted...love you
