Apparently, turning nine months old means that you are too grown up for nap time. We have been struggling with naps all week, much to Mommy's dismay. Things had become so regular and routine, and I was finally getting comfortable with that. Not so fast, sister.
This morning, I had to go help serve lunch for the youth at church who are participating in the D-Now Weekend. While I was gone, Danny tried to stick with Ty's regular schedule. About halfway through the lunch, I got a text message that said, "Nonstop crying." I almost dreaded going home.
By the time I arrived, I could sense the steam coming from Danny's ears, and I might have felt sorry for him if I weren't the one who always has to deal with these kinds of days while he's tucked in a quiet office. But, I tried to come to the rescue the best I could.
As of 8:30 p.m., when Tyler went to bed for the night, he had not had a nap ALL day. Literally. He was awake for twelve hours straight and you could see it in his bloodshot eyes and red-rimmed eyelids. This cannot continue. He's been crying it out when he's home with me during the week, and that seems to work after about an hour and a half. Daddy's not so strict, so we'll go back to boot camp next week.
Anyway, while I was gone, Danny shot this 30 second video clip. He thought Tyler had fallen asleep, but when he went in to check on him, he was standing up turning his rain forest music box thingy off and on to see the lights. The first part of the video is really dark except for the flash of the light where Ty was pushing the button on and off. It bounces a little while Danny walks to the lamp to turn on the light. When the lamplight comes on, Tyler turns around in a total "busted" fashion. Priceless.
Enjoy! And, go take a nap!

that is a great video!!!!!
good luck with naps, that can be so hard when they get out of wack sometimes!!!
that was hilarious!
ON the weekends when AP won't nap, i just get her to lie down with me...usually in no time she's asleep!
In fact, we've just woken up from at least a 3 hour nap!!!
