In the past 72 hours, I have cleaned up two minor instances of vomit, one major vomit, a diarrhea-soaked mattress pad and fitted sheet, and more diarrhea diapers than I care to count. Not my kind of fun.
I took Tyler to the doctor yesterday, and apparently there is a tummy bug running around among the younger crowd. He hasn't gone to Little Gym in two weeks, so he likely picked this thing up at the church nursery. I guess that's the risk you take leaving your kid with any other kids, especially now that school has started again.
Anyway, while I've been dealing with Tyler being all out of sorts, Danny is out of sorts, too. He has some kind of stomach issue, and he thinks he has an ulcer. I don't know anything about ulcers, but I told him that a doctor's appointment will be in short order for him if he's not feeling better by the first of the week.
So, my boys are on a strict Pedialyte, Gatorade, water, puffs, and cracker diet this weekend. Tyler is particularly funny to watch with the crackers. He had them crushed and smeared from head to toe. I had to do a full-out kitchen cleaning when he was finished!
I am anxious for everyone to be back in normal mode, and I am praying that I can hold it together so I can take care of them. I'm not known for having a stomach of steel...

oh no! I hope your boys get better soon! And that you don't get sick after them...thanks for the vicks thing- and no, I didn't know about that! I went to CVS in desperation for all sorts of modern medicine cures, but didn't see a vicks rub for infants. I will have to look again!
And, Beth Moore studies are amazing! I did (still am doing) the Daniel study and my sister's group has started "stepping up". She said it was awesome!
Ty must have passed AGP the stomach bug over the phone...When I talked to Julie this morning, Hendley had a nasty diaper too...

Watch his sweet little hiney for diaper rash. I'm battling a nasty case over here because of a stomach situation.
Why is it that when we feel sick, we look like hell? Tyler still looks precious.
OK, I know ulcers. Here's what you need to do ASAP. Go to the drug store and buy a package of Pepcid. Plain old Pepcid or generic Pepcid. Take two before bed. Don't eat two hours before bedtime. Drink lOTS of water.
If he's not better in two weeks, THEN go to the doctor for some Nexium...Prevacid. One of those.
Sending up big prayers that the Watson boys will get to feeling better soon. And even bigger prayers that you too dont fall victum of the "bug"...keep us posted:)
