I have a stomach bug that won't quit. I would rather have any other common virus than a stomach virus, but here I am running a marathon between the bathroom and the bed for two days straight.
Needless to say, I feel like crap (no pun intended). This all started yesterday morning before church, and it got worse as the afternoon progressed. I called the doctor and was told to push fluids because I was dehydrated and to take kaopectate for the tummy troubles. Well, the pushing fluids has sort of become a game for me. As you know, when you are well-hydrated, your urine is clear or light yellow. I am on Operation Clear. I have become slightly obsessed with making sure everything is running clear because I somehow believe it will make my stomach hurt less. So far, it's only working okay.
I still have an appetite, but when I eat, even if it's just chicken soup, I am racing to the toilet by the time I've satisfied my hunger. I can't tell you how miserable this is. I am now sporting a headache that's just enough to annoy me. And, I really want some sugar cookies.
Blah. I guess I'll just suffer through this...I don't really have another choice. I go for my regular OB appointment on Wednesday, so if things aren't better by then, maybe they can help me. I plan to stay in bed as much as possible until then, which proves difficult when you're on Operation Clear. Something about what goes in must come out and a baby pressing on your bladder....

Aww, thanks for the words of encouragement. Made me a little teary eyed, but I needed it.
I hope your bug will go away soon. Ugh, ours is still fresh in my mind since it was only a few weeks ago. Terrible. I thought if I lay still long enough, it would go away, but as soon as I got up, bam, it was back!
Get better soon!!! OH, and my doc always said to drink flat ginger ale. Maybe that will help?
Jenn- So sorry about your bug. Operation clear is never fun:( I hope you feel better soon...while you are in bed think of me and how crappy my year has started...you are better off in bed than dealing with these darn people here. Read and rest and you will be good in no time...hopefully. I will call you soon. Miss you!!
drink liquids, drink liquids, drink liquids. Dehydration will cause labor so fast. I've been there!
the girls are right...keep pushing those liquids...dehydration is horrible!!!
I know it is frustrating, but it will pass soon. Keep me posted on how you're doing...not the details mind you, but just in general.
Joy's right, no pun intended, this will pass. I think it's very common. I had the same thing at about the same stage...
Feel better!
Feel better soon!
Love Ya
