Twelve Month Stats

Thursday was a rough day for our girl. She had a grueling physical therapy session followed immediately by her 12 month well-baby appointment.

You mommies know what that means:

S-H-O-T-S.

We tried not to talk about it much. But, this mommy was scared. I hate shots every time they're given, but I really hate them when my child is old enough to associate me with the pain. Makes me teary eyed every time.

Anyway, Lydie received a fairly decent report. Overall, she is healthy and happy, but she certainly needs to continue physical therapy and speech therapy until she is caught up with her peers.

She also needs to gain a little bit of weight. She is in the 90th percentile in height and the 50th percentile in weight. Although she's an average weight for her age, pediatricians normally recommend that children triple their birth weights by twelve months. She's two pounds too light.

Golly, being tall and skinny is so tough.

The actual stats are as follows:

Height: 30.5 inches

Weight: 20 lbs., 15 ounces

Head: 18 inches

We are so proud of Lydie. She's definitely had a challenging first year, but she's handled everything with grace and courage. We love her to pieces!!

Now, we're off to fatten her up. Just Kidding. Sort of.

Cute, cute, cute, cute (even if I said it a gazillion times, don't know if it would get my point across) outfit. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

Pictures are just precious. She has such a cute little head of hair.

Even in pictures, it is easy to see that all of the physical therapy, hard work and prayer is paying off. She'll be caught up in no time.
